Wildcard Weekend Picks

I will be making weekly picks during the playoffs. Check back every Friday through the Super Bowl.

New Orleans (-11) @ Seattle
In the paraphrased words of Dan Patrick, "They can't stop them, they can only hope to cover." I see New Orleans putting up a 40 spot, at least, and Seattle will struggle to score 10 before the Saints' backups are in. This will be a blowout of record proportions. I think Brees will throw for 400+ yards through 3 quarters and he'll be watching Chase Daniel hand the ball off the rest of the game.
Saints 48, Seahawks 16

Jets @ Colts (-3)
I see this as a relatively low scoring game until the 4th quarter when both teams will begin exchanging leads. I think Peyton Manning will get the best of Rex Ryan again but it's not going to be easy. The Jets will force Manning to hand the ball off to Addai and Rhodes in order to beat them, and that's exactly what he'll do. This will come down to the wire with Vinatieri popping in a field goal with under 2 minutes to win it. Look out for Blair White in this game too. Revis and Cromartie can't cover everybody.
Colts 30, Jets 27

Ravens (-3) @ Chiefs
This will be all about defense and running. If there's a boring game this week, this will be it. If the over under was 25, I'd go under. Both teams will try to keep the ball out of each other's hands but I think ultimately the Ravens defense wins this one.
Ravens 14, Chiefs 10

Packers @ Eagles (-3)
On the flip side, this has the potential to be the most exciting game this week. Will either defense be able to stop either offense? This will look like a repeat of this years Sugar Bowl in the beginning. Each team will start out flying high and eventually calm down to a steady running attack to control the clock at the end. I see this as another tight one, with a field goal winning it and Michael Vick walking off a winner.
Eagles 34, Packers 31
